History Flirt: Looney Tunes

  • Minnesota History Center 345 West Kellogg Boulevard Saint Paul, MN, 55102 United States (map)

From the website: Frolic with history at History Flirt, a free Tuesday happy hour for young adults. In June, History Flirt celebrates the History Center's newest exhibit What's Up, Doc? The Animation Art of Chuck Jones.

Purchase grown-up cocktails crafted by the Turf Club and enjoy carrot cake samples by Grandma's Bakery. Try stop-motion animation with John Akre of Green Jeans Media. Glen Leslie of KFAI's Jet Set Planet will DJ Looney Tunes-inspired music, and flipbooks will be on display courtesy of the Minnesota Center for Book Arts. Also get up close and personal with a variety of Bugs Bunny's real-life cousins and try to separate bunny fact from "toon" fiction with STEM Bunnies. Or just relax and enjoy some classic toons. PJs admired, but not required.

A cash bar and additional food will be available for purchase.

Later Event: June 9
