Visit with ten families from around the world and see the food they eat. Discover surprising similarities and differences in how each family produces, shops for, and prepares their meals. The exhibition takes visitors on a food tour from the U.S. to China, Mexico to Mali, and Greenland to India. Which foods seem to show up on everyone's table, and which ones differ from family to family? View a variety of markets, family meals, and agricultural practices from around the world. In hands-on activities, learn about the foods you like by shopping from our market, track the sources of those foods from around the world, and take a closer look at their ingredients.

Create creatures, design mazes, and construct rocket ships in a gallery filled with cardboard to build and explore with. Hundreds of cardboard boxes will be available as well as an assortment of tools and connectors to help you turn your cardboard ideas into cardboard reality in this giant free build!

Meet NASA astronaut and Minnesota-native Josh Cassada at the Bell Museum! This event is free and open to the public.
On Thursday January 14, Cassada will give a public lecture in the Bell Museum Auditorium where he will talk and take questions about NASA, space, and his favorite subject, the wonders of science! Earlier that day, Cassada will be visiting with high school students from White Bear Lake with our traveling ExploraDome team.

From the website: Video games have become as integral to our culture as TV or movies, offering complex narratives and immersive experiences, a potent starting point for exploring and understanding history. Join Andrew Williams and Dave Beck of the School of Art & Design at University of Wisconsin-Stout to explore the past and future of video games. They will discuss key moments in video game design, the use of history in video game narrative, and Beck's development of Tombeaux, a first-person exploration game set in a historically accurate 3D environment.
